Gutter Cleaning

Professional Gutter Cleaning in Port Orchard & Kitsap County

Hand-cleaned gutters, flushed downspouts, and debris hauled away, never left in your beds. Protect your roof, foundation and landscaping from water damage.

Sound Exterior Solutions technician cleaning gutters on a Kitsap County home

Kitsap County is surrounded by fir, cedar, alder and maple. Beautiful, but rough on your gutters. A clogged gutter overflows against your fascia, rots your soffit, floods water down against your foundation, undermines landscaping, and invites rodents, wasps and mosquitoes to nest inches from your attic. A gutter cleaning today prevents thousands in fascia, soffit and foundation repairs later.

Every gutter we service is hand-cleaned or blown out depending on the property. We climb the ladder, scoop every foot by hand or blow out debris when it's the right call, flush every downspout to the grade, and bag or haul every last scoop of debris off your property. No mystery pile left on the lawn. No plugged downspout ignored.

You get before/after photos, a downspout flow test, and a heads-up on any loose brackets, missing straps or damaged sections we spot along the way.

  • Prevents Costly Water Damage

Free-flowing gutters send water where it belongs, away from your fascia, siding and foundation. The #1 cheapest home-protection service on the market.

  • Stops Roof Rot at the Edge

Backed-up water sits under the shingle edge and rots the decking from underneath, an invisible problem until the roof needs replacement.

  • Discourages Pests

Rodents, wasps and mosquitoes love a soggy gutter full of nesting material. Clean, dry gutters are hostile territory.

  • Extends Gutter Life

Wet debris is heavy, it pulls gutters loose from fascia over time. Cleaning early protects the whole gutter run.

  • Protects Landscaping

Overflowing gutters carve trenches in mulch beds and drown foundation plantings. Fix the source, save the plants.

  • Restores Curb Appeal

Pair a clean-out with gutter brightening to erase black oxidation stripes and make your gutters look brand-new again.

FAQ

Gutter Cleaning: questions we hear a lot

How often should gutters be cleaned in Kitsap County?+

We recommend a full gutter clean-out at least once a year for most Kitsap homes, typically in late fall after the leaf and needle drop. Homes with heavy tree cover, tall firs directly overhead, or waterfront properties should schedule twice per year (fall + spring) to stay ahead of clogs.

How often should I have my gutters brightened?+

Gutter brightening every 1 to 2 years keeps the exterior of your gutters looking new. Homes in direct sun and homes with older aluminum gutters oxidize faster, those benefit from annual brightening bundled with a clean-out.

What if my downspout is clogged solid?+

We can usually clear even solid clogs with a combination of water pressure and mechanical snake. If a downspout is genuinely broken or crushed, we'll show you the photos and refer you to a trusted local who can repair it.

How much does gutter cleaning cost?+

Gutter cleaning starts at $250 for most single-family homes in Kitsap County, with final pricing based on story count, linear feet, and how packed the gutters are. Gutter brightening is priced separately by linear foot. Send us an address for a firm quote in 24 hours.

Do I need to be home for the service?+

No. As long as we can access the perimeter of the home and a water spigot, most customers are at work while we clean. We text before/after photos on completion.

Two Services, One Visit

Gutter Clean-Out vs. Gutter Brightening

These are two completely different services that solve two completely different problems. Most homes need both, but on different schedules.

Interior

Gutter Clean-Out

Removes what's inside the gutter

Our core gutter service. We hand-scoop every foot of gutter, remove leaves, needles, seed pods, moss and shingle grit, then flush and flow-test every downspout. Debris is bagged and hauled off your property.

What it fixes:

  • Overflowing gutters during rain
  • Water dumping against the foundation
  • Fascia rot & pest nesting
  • Ice damming on cold nights

Recommended cadence

Once a year. or twice a year for homes under heavy tree cover, near tall firs, or on the waterfront.

Exterior

Gutter Brightening

Removes what's stuck to the outside

Those ugly black vertical "tiger stripes" on the face of your gutters are oxidation and bonded grime, so a regular wash won't touch them. We apply a specialized brightening chemical, hand-agitate the surface to break down the oxidation, then rinse to reveal the original finish underneath.

What it fixes:

  • Black vertical "tiger stripe" streaks
  • Chalky, oxidized aluminum finish
  • Faded, weathered exterior appearance
  • Curb-appeal drag from dirty gutters

Recommended cadence

Every 1 to 2 years. best paired on the same visit as a house wash or gutter clean-out.

Bundle & save: Book a clean-out and brightening on the same visit and we discount the second service, one truck, one setup, two problems solved.
